CENTRAL CALIFORNIA CONFERENCE

Sonora Kiddie Kollege in Sonora, California is seeking an Early Childhood Center Director to manage approximately 50 children, ages 2 through 5 and a staff of 6. Sonora Kiddie Kollege is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, two hours east of San Francisco and one hour north of Yosemite National Park. This puts skiing, hiking, canoeing and other outdoor activities close to the school. At the same time, San Francisco and other Bay Area attractions are only 2 hours away. Candidates will value the spiritual emphasis that is central to Kiddie Kollege mission, have a growth mindset, demonstrate strong organizational skills, effectively communicate with parents, and be able to add to the existing strengths of an exceptional staff. Applicants must be active members of the Seventh-day Adventist church and have proof of eligibility to work in the United States. (Hold current work visa and residency in the US if not a US citizen.) 

Experience: Applicants should have experience working as an assistant director or director in an early childhood center and will have the following qualifications: 1) Meet the Director qualifications (15 hours Health and Safety Training) and educational training under California Childcare Licensing. 2) The individual must also be competent in handling and addressing typical issues which arise in a preschool setting among staff, children, and parents and must be knowledgeable in child development and creating a program which incorporates the various domains of development. 3) This individual must be experienced in leading a team and supporting their growth and development within the organization. 4) Will have taken or be able to have a current TB Test and be immunized against Pertussis and Measles as well as the Flu. 5) Must be familiar with standards set forth by the California Department of Social Services and Title 22 regarding Child Care Centers and be able to meet those standards.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA CONFERENCE

Kingdom Kids Christian Preschool - Teacher

Kingdom Kids Christian Preschool, located in the beautiful city of Orangevale, California, near Sacramento and on the same campus as Orangevale SDA School and the Orangevale SDA Church, is looking for a new early childhood teacher. Kingdom Kids is located a short drive from Sacramento Adventist Academy, Adventist Health, Maranatha, and the new Northern California Conference headquarters. Kingdom Kids currently has 36 students and 6 staff members. This is a full-time hourly position with benefits and a June 2019 start date.

Experience: A.S. degree (B.S. preferred) in Early Childhood Education and fully licensed with the state of California.

Sacramento Adventist Academy Preschool - Teacher

Sacramento Adventist Academy Preschool is looking for an Early Childhood Education Teacher. The desired applicant should be warm and friendly and should have experience working with young children ages 2-5. Early Childhood Education units should have been completed or there should be a willingness to enroll in classes.

Experience: 12 + completed units of Early Childhood Development (preferred) or willingness to enroll in 6 units per semester till units are completed.  CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to take classes before employment begins. Some experience with young children (may vary).

SOUTHEASTERN CALIFORNIA CONFERENCE

Loma Linda Academy Children's Center - ECE Director

Loma Linda Academy Children’s Center, is a division of Loma Linda Academy, located next to Loma Linda University in the Southeastern California Conference. LLACC is seeking a full-time ECE Director who will be responsible for the overall operation of the center that serves approximately 120 students from infant to 5 years old and employs a staff of 25. Job description includes finances/budget, supervision of staff, curriculum/programming development, compliance with conference and state regulations, and other administrative duties as part of the Loma Linda Academy administrative team. The director will work in collaboration with the staff to provide students with a loving and caring environment with appropriate Christ-centered curriculum, creative and engaging learning activities/experiences, and provide a warm and gracious public relations experience for parents and the community. The director’s contract would begin July 1, 2022.

Experience: The preschool director must be a Seventh-day Adventist Christian in good standing; have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood, (a masters preferred) have a CA State ECE Directors or Site Supervisor Permit; and have at least five years of experience as a director in a licensed child care center.

SBJA Discoveryland Child Care Center is seeking to hire an immediate fully qualified Pre-K teacher. Candidate must have a minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education units or an AA in Early Childhood Education. You must have at least one year of experience working with this age group. PACIFIC UNION COLLEGE ECE PROGRAMS

Discoveryland Children's Center Angwin - Infant/Toddler Teacher

This full-time position reports to the Director of Discoverlyand, Angwin. The position is responsible for the safe and healthy care of children from 3 months to approximately 23 months of age; plan curriculum which will provide for daily care and development of social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills. This position is also responsible for communicating necessary information with parents concerning infant/toddler activities on a daily basis. Supervises lab students and student workers assigned to the infant/toddler room. Attends staff meetings, participate in fund-raisers, parent meetings and school programs.

Experience: A.S. or B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education; Experience working with infants and toddlers; Understanding of child development; Good Team Spirit; Creative and organized; Demonstrate kindness, understanding and warmth towards children and their families; Willing to advance academically and stay current in the early childhood field, attend conventions, meetings and classes; Reliable and able to maintain the schedule assigned by the Director; Valid CPR and Pediatric 1st Aid Certficate; California Child Development Teacher Permit required or must be willing to obtain.
